Permaforest Farm is a demonstration organic farm co-owned and managed by The Permaforest Trust and Python Organics. It is located at Barkers Vale, New South Wales, Australia, adjacent to the World Heritage listed Border Ranges National Park, home to some of the most spectacular sub tropical rainforest in Australia.

How to Get to Permaforest FARM:

The location of the demonstration organic farm is at Barkers Vale, NSW adjacent to the Border Ranges National Park in New South Wales, Australia. The easiest way to get to there is to remember that it is just off the road that leads up to and through the national park. If you follow the signs to the park from the southern entrance (the Uki, Nimbin, Cawongla side) then you will come to Hidden Valley Rd. Turn left here- it is the second gate on the left (about 200m down). If you come from the Wiangaree or northern side you will drive all the way through the park (check to make sure road is open beforehand). About 2km past the park exit/entrance you will come to Hidden Valley Rd. Turn right, it is the second gate on the left. Note: Barkers Vale is just a name on the map, there is no actual town there.

A Little More Detail

Coming from the coast. Head to Murwillumbah. Turn off the Pacific Highway into Murwillumbah at roundabout and go over bridge into town and through two more roundabouts, then about 200m farther turn left when you see sign to Uki. Drive west straight through Uki as if heading for Kyogle. 31km out of Uki you will see Williams Rd. Turn right onto Williams Rd. 2.8 km down Williams Rd you will see Creegans Rd. Turn right. 2.6 Km down Creegans Rd you will see Hidden Valley Rd. Turn left, it is the second gate on the left.

Coming from Lismore. Head to Nimbin from Lismore. Drive north through Nimbin towards Lillian Rock. You will come to a T intersection with the Kyogle-Murwillumbah Rd. Turn Left towards Kyogle. At Williams Rd turn Right. 2.8 km down Williams Rd you will see Creegans Rd. Turn right. 2.6 Km down Creegans Rd you will see Hidden Valley Rd. Turn left, it is the second gate on the left.

Coming from Kyogle. Head out of Kyogle towards Cawongla and Murwillumbah. Do not turn left at the first Williams Rd turn off. At the second Williams Rd turn off (after Wadeville) turn left. 2.8 km down Williams Rd you will see Creegans Rd. Turn right. 2.6 Km down Creegans Rd you will see Hidden Valley Rd. Turn left, it is the second gate on the left.
