Hi guys,

I hope that you are all well at the moment and enjoying whatever you are up to.

Jessie and I have settled in really nicely here in Samoa . We’ve rented a lovely home, with a good sized garden to play around in, plenty of fruit trees, and a traditional open fale out the back, which is nice and cool to relax and eat in the evenings.

For those who I haven’t spoken to for a while, Jessie and I got married on March 1 back in Oz. It was an amazing day, perfect in every way. It’s been really lovely for us to hang out lots and enjoy the beginning of our lives together. Jessie’s tummy’s getting really big now, it looks so beautiful, with our little one due in only 10 weeks now. It’s moving around plenty and gives me a high five pretty much every time I touch Jess’s stomach which is a pretty amazing feeling.

Work has been fantastic too. Samoa is a very beautiful place and the people here are lovely, but there are some very unhealthy and unsustainable aspects which have permeated the culture in recent times. The local NGO I am working with have their focus placed in very key areas of education, livelihood and environmental concern and for a small organisation they have had plenty of impact over here in Samoa . The founders, my bosses Walter and Mua are wonderful people who really have the best interests of Samoa ’s future at heart. They are an older couple, wise, compassionate and very driven, and really know how to make things happen here. We’ve struck up a great working relationship, approaching life in a very similar fashion which is always helpful. Many opportunities are falling into place at the right times around my work and a very exciting year is panning out.

So with a beautiful wife to hang out with, fulfilling work to be a part of, a lovely space to come home to, good friendships developing, the all round lovely aspects of Samoa and its people, and the miracle of a child on the way, it’s shaping up to be a pretty amazing year.

Lots of love to you all, Cam
